The deep garnet color of the 2014 F’n Red leads to aromas of cassis, cherry, plum, cardamom, violets and graphite. A complex array of aromas lead to a pallet of pure fruit expression. Balanced, textured and layered flavors of black plum, dark cherry, violets and sage compliment the long and elegant finish. Polished dusty-like tannin showcases the wine to be drinkable now, but also bearing the capacity to continue to develop in your cellar.
Sourced entirely from the Fleury Estate owned and farmed vineyard located in Rutherford, Napa Valley. This beautifully manicured vineyard sits aside the winery in which the wonderful wine was crafted. The often referenced “Rutherford Dust” tannin structure is one of many reasons Rutherford is known as one of Napa Valley’s most esteemed American Viticultural Areas. There is little dispute that Rutherford’s climate and terroir create characteristics unique to wine from this region.
Planted amongst the valley floor, with rows running east and west, the vineyard produces rich and full-flavored wines, with beautiful chocolate notes. The location provides ideal sun exposure during the day which helps to develop the lush, intense fruit one would expect from such a magnificent property.
